We are about to begin the Official Hair Fair Photo Contest for Hair Fair 2014. The contest starts on the 9th of June and ends on the 23rd of June. You can upload up to 8 entries. Each and every store listed below is awarding prizes to 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize winners (that is a huge prize pool!) so tell all your friends, start taking wonderful pictures and show us how you can best show off your hair.

THEME
This years theme is “Music”. Be as creative as you like; feel free to include other people in your shots.
This years contest will run from the 9th – 23rd of June 2014.
*No Nudity or sexually suggestive images, this is a charity event to raise money for Children. Naked/revealing pictures and pictures that the committee deem inappropriate will not be accepted! The committee’s say on this is final.
Be creative, but remember we are looking for pictures that focus on the hair and you.
NEW PHOTOS ONLY
Photos submitted to this pool must be new photos. Photos older than the start of the contest will not qualify. Photos used for other contests, memes, blog posts or promotions will not be accepted — if they are accepted into the pool but we find out that they are/were used for something else they will be removed. If you want to blog your entry, that is allowed — as long as it is a blog post explaining that it is your entry into the Hair Fair 2014 photo contest.
EDITING
Feel free to enhance your shot in the photo editing software of choice. As you do, please remove any vendors or store logos that may be in the image. Just remember this isn’t an advertisement but a tribute to hair that you love. Also be aware that we wont be judging your photos on how little or much you know of PS or GIMP, rather the feel of the picture and the capture itself. Don’t get too carried away, though; we want to be able see the hair!
Only backgrounds from Second Life, or created in photoshop or an editing program are allowed. No RL images to be used in or as your photos, such as morphing or locations.
TEXT
Because of this years theme being “Music” you may use text on your images if you wish to. The text can only be lyrics to a song – in part or whole, and NO Sexualy Explicit, Degrading, Racist or Hate Speech song lyrics allowed. This is a Charity Event for a Childrens’ Charity, so anything found to be unacceptable will not be approved.
While text is allowed, still remember that this is a photo contest, and we want to be able to see your Hair and Avatar clearly. Text should not overwhelm the image.
SIZES
This year any size is acceptable. Please try and make sure that photos are larger than 512×512 or they will not look as good as you want them to, and may effect judging.
ENTERING PHOTOS
Photos may only be entered once, and only the person entering the photo is eligible to win. The same photo may not be entered by more than one person. You must have full ownership rights to the photo you are entering. If it was taken by someone else, then you must be allowed to use it in this manner. Check with the photographer before entering because any disputes of ownership of a photo will result in removal from the contest.
Entrants are limited to a total of 8 entries. Enter only your very best photos, as swapping out will not be allowed. We will be keeping track of who enters what, and swapping out your photos after submission will result in your disqualification. We want to make it fair to everyone.
ENTRY DESCRIPTIONS ( MUST DO )
In the description of each photo you enter, please include:
* Your Second Life avatar name (no display names, if your last name is Resident please include that)
* Model/s
* Photographer
* Hair Style Name and Store (the store does not have to be in Hair Fair 2014)
* Inspiration MusicTitle (you can include a link to the song on YouTube or wherever if you like)
All photos must be entered by Midnight SLT on 23rd June, at that time uploads will be disabled.
